If you see my car in person, you'd understand. It needs professional detailing, a clay bar does nothing for it. Also, once it's detailed,,, won't it need wax in the following months? The detailing doesn't last forever does it?

No it doesn't last forever, it just seemed in the previous post you were going to do right away, thats all  I bet you could get the clay bar to do something, unless its covered in bird poop or something

The clay bar does nothing more than make the paint feel a bit smoother, which I could care less about. I want it to look good, even if it felt like sand paper, as long as it looks good I'd be happy.

The wax/polish isn't going to work as well if your applying it to a grity surface Why not take the extra time to do a proper job You want the car to feel smooth, trust me because once you do it, you'll never look at your car the same or will anyone else. You can tell the cars that are "really" detailed at shows, just ask to feel them
