That is such a horribly ugly car, but "props" on the turbo.

Awesome that he's taking advantage of the market for Zetec stuff.

As far as the body kit goes, the rear bumper is HUGE, but doesn't really look that bad; though I'm trying really hard to ignore that single fart can bursting forth from one of it's cavernous dual exhaust cutouts.

The front is just too damn complicated. That many non-functional holes and pointy parts are not at all necessary and do NOT look good. The same goes for the pointy squared off sideskirts.

I've actually thought before that something a little more BMW style would look nice on a pre 98' mystique, but the 89' CRX kit wasn't what I had in mind.

I'd really like to see a clean tasteful zetec mystique with a little more effort put into making everything match up. I understand that the FWANGing attack mobile look/sound is popular, but like many other things, just because everyone is doing it doesn't mean it's very [censored] smart.

You need to re-read the post. IF the car is in Europe OR in Australia then the Cougar is NOT Mercury product. They are a FORD Cougar there.

You can't say that putting a Type R badge on a Mustang or a Civic is rice, and then put another badge on a car that doesn't belong. Just my .02.

so then what about Cougar guys with Ford badges?

Yeah its the Ford Cougar in Europe.

so you're saying its ok to put a Ford badge on a Cougar

but not a Honda badge on an Acura

i think we're talking about the same thing here

although i see no problem with a ford badge on an american cougar

or a honda badge on an acura

but whatever...

The Ford Motor Co. makes Mercurys, so what's the beef? Mysytiques and Contours were made in the same factory by the same Ford paid workers.

If it was a Kia with a Ford badge, then.....

gotta give the props for the turbo but the body kit is not too nice and just rice. svt body would look 10 times better.

That might be your opinion but maybe he wanted to be a little different and have a different body kit. If he put a svt body kit then it would be just another zetec with a svt kit. I think it looks good cause i like cars that don't look exactly like the car that just drove by 2 seconds ago on the freeway. Just my opinion.

dude... if you live somewhere where you can drive past a mystique with a full SVT kit every two seconds then I wanna know where you live..

"JUST" another stique with a svt kit isn't as popular as you would like to make it seem... I get your point, and agree, about not being like every other car.. (mustangs come to mind.. they're everywhere) but your particular example was not the best.. lol

i agree.. a more flowing design would work much better for that car...

I have yet to see a pre98 Mystique with a REAL SVT body kit on it.

Same. SVT's themself aren't exactly run-of-the-mill cars, and I've never seen any non-SVT with the SVT kit outside of the boards.
