Hi guys/gals...new to this board, but a dedicated Contour SVT owner I am. This is my second SVT, just picked it up last week and guess what? Yup, sunroof gear is shot. That's okay because I am about to make this problem go away for myself and many others. I have acquired an aftermarket gear that is made from a much higher quality material. I have not installed it yet, but it looks like it will surely last longer than the cheap neoprene gears that are stock. I was just looking to fix my sunroof and I did a search and discovered I am not the only one with this problem. I came across somebody who makes these gears and I begged him to let me get my hands on one and he helped me out.

Hope this helps.

I'm all ready working on a group buy for these gears. I'm not sure why Jeff didn't direct you to me on the site. I'm actually test fitting the first gear tomorrow.

Thanks,
Rick
