OP Taasman CEG\'er T Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 432 Cambridge, Ontario	I have 95 Mystique with the 2.5 auto. We find that when taking off from stop that its shift from first to second is kind of hard with thump going into second. It only seems to be from low into second gear that it kicks kind of hard going to 2nd gear. Any ideas what could cause this? Had fluid flushed and filled, and conditioner...same thing a rough shift in low to 2nd.

andyh New CEG\'er A Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 13 New Jersey	Not a mechanic, but my 1998 Mystique does that when the torque converter modulator valve/sensor is not working properly. Does it happen all the time or when you slow down from high speed? Andy

I was going to replace it because I have the sensor but got lazy.
