I am building a false floor and a box. I plan to have a sealed box with a plexi back and a mirror floor (inside the box). I am getting some movement when I take corners hard and am wondering what you experienced guys do to secure the box so that it doesn't shake and roll around.
And another issue, but closely related: how do I secure the false floor to the trunk floor and minimize rattling/buzzing?
I am using 3/4" ParticleBoard and it doesn't seem to take well to the screws+vibration.
BTW, I am installing 2 12" MB Quart Premiums facing the front of the car (flush with the folding seats) and the ams will rest on a frame in the spare well. With any luck, I will have a clean install with only the chrome on the back of the subs showing.
Another issue: I know that amps run hot and turn themselves off (or cheap ones overheat) when they don't have any air circulation. How do I arrange it so that the ams don't suffocate in the well below the false floor? Can i route a hidden tube+fan to feed the amps cooler air from elsewhere in the trunk?
Any help is appreciated.
