The law only requires the average citizen that isn't trained to provide medical assistance to call 911. That's it.




How are they going to know you didn't help if you make it a point not to stop, etc.

I think the point is that we live in a sue happy society. Doctors are being put out of business because of people sueing. I took my 91 dodge work truck to Wal-Mart for a $11 oil change. The oil was a little low so I had to sign a disclaimer before they would change the oil. Before most people do any work you have to sign a disclaimer. Religious people are the quickest to sue because they feel everything should be perfect. Being sued can ruin a person's financial life. The court system can take years to settle a case. If a person thinks they might be injured they can file within one year and then they have 10 years to try to settle the case. Medical bills are expensive.
