It shows more obvious stupidity on your part and the officers part.
I work with cops, I know a lot goes on, but not as much as the previous person I was replying to made it seem.
And I'm sure there's a law that says you have to fight. I know how many officers like to interpret the law in their own way, but I guarantee there isn't a law that says that.
I guess I'm wrong and you're right and people have to fight if you say they do.
I wish cops would just get off their high horses,,, but that's why they are cops, so they can boss people around, etc. Like I said, I know and work with plenty of cops, I know how they are.
LMAO!!!
Kermit -
I am NOT a cop so as for your knowing what is a cop and why they are a cop and because this and whine that! I am a Dispatcher not a cop - I dont pretend to know all the laws and all their legal definitions. I DO know that nearly every state in the Union has a good samaritan law on the books, which YOU ARE ABSOLUTLY INCORRECT ABOUT - REQUIRES you to render aid to ANY person in need of said help. If you see an officer in a fight and do not stop to help you MAY be held accountable, but the same goes for a normal person as well. If you are too young to remeber the last episode of Sinfeld it was a comedic poke at these laws. You ARE REQUIRED BY LAW to help, no if ands or buts.
So if by "working with the cops" you mean your neighborhood watch I salute you, the programs we have in our city have dramatically reduced crime in those areas, Thank You, it really helps! But unless your local PD is drastically different than mine, mobile watch people just are not privy to everything that goes on. It is not considered nessesary for "joe Average" to need to know everything that goes on, If you did know you would prob try and move to another place, because I can assure you that WAY more bad stuff happens than you are aware of. (and FYI I live in a VERY TAME "small town" - and we have more than enough going at a time) os unless your local town is pop. 521 you will have a lot going on as well.
Kermit - I am also not saying that there arnt officers who dont do a good job, like everywhere else in real life some people do their jobs well some dont. But usually sooner rather than later those who are not good cops get "rooted out" for some reason or another and are replaced by the "next guy" trying to earn a living for his kids. ( At least thats the theory )
Im just saying give the guy a break, dont ruin his record because you got the shaft once. Give him the benefit of the doubt and mabey next time you will get his.
Remember its a dog eat dog world out there little tadpol, if you "scratch" his back next time he will "scratch yours"
Cops are people just like you and me, they remember people and how they are treated by them, be nice, courteous and then next time mabey he will do the same for you.
