I don't see why the Officer owes your any sort of courtest for breaking the law.

I speed as much as the next guy, probably more, but never at night. You really shouldn't be as you obviously suffer from nightblindness (many people do, you're certainly not alone). You're obviously not paying enough attention to drive that fast if you don't see a cop.

18 over, man. You know in some states that's only 2MPH away from a non-reducable reckless driving charge. In some states that's a 6-pointer that stays on for 11 years. A charge on the same level as a Hit-and-Run and Vehicular Manslaughter.

Just think about that when you wonder why this guy was being such an [censored].

I dont doubt that, you and I have never crossed horns on here, and I have nothing against you, but....

I'm not gonna help him... He sure wasn't helping me out.

How was he supposed to "help" you? He isnt required to he happy and cheerful everytime, he did his job and that was it. A cop will notice a lot of things without openingly looking around, thats part of his job. You might not have noticed that he looked into the car, but I garuantee (sp?) he did.

I sure dont feel like being cheerful and happy if Im tired and had a long, or bad day, mabye that was his situation, and Im a pretty polite person myself

I guarantee you that Cop had a better idea of what was going on in your car than even you did before walking up to your window.

He was just filling his quota, which makes him an ahole in my book.

This time of the month, that's doubtful.

He was more than likely on his way home and your speeding was just so blatant that he pulled you over and didn't feel like chatting it up with you. He has no obligation to do so. I'm sure if your right arm was gushing blood you would have made sure to tell him.

And I seriously saw spots the whole drive home, I don't see how that is considered OK

Then you seriously need to reconsider driving at night. I hate to see what happens when drivers come at you with their high-beams on.

Like I said before, what goes around comes around.

Exactly -- and his job is to prevent that, because short-sighted people like yourself refuse to understand that. If he had let you speed and you killed someone 5 miles down the road that would also be "what goes around, comes around".

I gaurantee you that he didn't.

Wow, he should maybe turn his headlights on and get outta that grass on his way home. And he gave me no chance to talk at all...

Dude, people don't come at me with the highs on,,, I know south georgia isn't the smartest place around, but that has yet to happen to me. Except for once when someone was messing with me, though it's quite different. A car's headlights are lower. The spot light was much closer and level with my head and aimed directly into the car. The only way to not see spots would to have been to keep my eyes closed. My windows are not tinted and if I looked up, the glare was already hurting my eyes. My eyes aren't perfect and that could have something to do with it as well.
Well less than 1/8 mile ahead I had to slow down for exit than city speeds on way home. And like I said, dry, light traffic. I would have bout same chance of killing someone at 65 as I would at 83. You just don't get the situation since you weren't there... oo well. What comes around goes around. I guess I did something really bad in my 17 years cuz my life is getting worse everyday... thanks for understanding, you should be a cop.

Yes he looked in the back of the car, but he never was in a position which he could see my right arm.

I work with people day-in/day-out and I AM cheerfull with them no matter what. Like tomorrow I work 10-2 6-12,, I guarantee you at midnite I will still be nice to people, even if they're breaking a rule at the business I will be polite to them. Too much to ask for from a cop though, right? I didn't say I should have been let off. I think he should have atleast asked me why I was speeding, but even if not doing that, the spot light really pisses me off.

And in Georgia, It would have to be 24+ over to be 4 points, and under 18 and 4 points = no more license. And I really bet you can see a cop at night with no lights on parked in the shoulder. Well maybe you can, but like I said, my eyes aren't perfect. But I can see well enough to see what is ON THE ROAD, doesn't matter if I pass something going 1787878mph, as long as it's on the side of the road.

I feel that people should be more polite and considerate, cops included,,, but again what comes around goes around,, and I got what was coming to me and then some,,, so I guess he'll get his some day.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Look who's talking!

You start a thread to b!tch and moan like a 7 year old about getting a speeding ticket (and you even admit that you're being selfish and immature), and we're supposed to feel compassion??

Oh man, thanks for a good laugh. I needed one.

Yeah, isn't it great how the police get to break laws in their patrol vehicles. An off-duty officer even raced my brother once to get in front of him. And a cop I know got a DUI (charge dismissed though). Great people.
