I dunno, even though it happened on Bush's watch, his campaign ads should focus on his stance, not bring up 9/11. People say Bush and Guiliani are great men for how the handled it, but think about this, how would anyone else have handle what happened? There's really no way we can say oh he's great because of how he handled it because it's something that you do what you have to do. Guiliani then recommended Bloomberg as mayor, and he's done his best to piss off New Yorkers. I have family up there and have heard horror stories. Last time I was up there (april 03), there was news that Bloomberg was laying off nypd and fdny. Yeah, that's brilliant - let's lay off our heroes from that day. Nothing like building some good will there.
Personally, as much as we should never forget 9/11, a campaign ad is an inappropriate place to remind people of it. The concept of mentioning it in an ad stinks of propaganda to me.
