My setup as it stands right now;
Alpine CD Player w/ 4V pre-out
Soundstream BLT (balanced line transmitter)
AudioControl Four.1 (pressing out 13.5V of pure signal)
AudioControl ESP-2 (simulating my center stage)
AudioControl EQX
Soundstream Ref300 (75W x 1 Channel)
--> Lightning audio 1F cap
--> 2 12" Phoenix Gold Saphire Subs (Wired in parallel)
(I have the subs in parallel to decrease to 2ohms, but then I added them in series with 8 50W/50Ohm power resistors, this gives me a super stable 8Ohm load on the amp, it also increase the amount of current, giving me a nice 37.5W per sub actual, but it performs like 300W per sub, this setup is so very beneficial in competitions.)
Soundstream Ref404s (40W x 4 channels)
--> Infinity REF605CS (6.5" w/ 1")
--> Infinity REF5752CF (5"x7" two-way)
The subs are housed in a ported band-bass box.
The box was designed and tuned for the subs (1.75 cubic feet and tuned to optimize 32-64Hz range).
My problem is not the setup but has something to do with the car, my RTA line drops 6dB between 500 and 1kHz. This is also causing my a 12dB loss on SPL. Just wondering if anyone has seen this problem? If its related to a something on the car soaking up the energy at those frequencies. I have dynamat throughout almost all of the car.
