If you have an MTX, then do whatever you can afford.

Aren't the FSVT's 17" wheels lighter than our 16" ones? Wouldn't that be BETTER for drivetrain loss?

lighter is always better for driveline loss, less weight to spin = less loss and more power to the road. if you buy wheels and performance is top priority, get the lightest wheels you can find. The lightest I've heard of are centerline (IIRC) and they're like 11lbs, but very expensive.

What you have to look at is total weight of rims and tires not just the rims. 17in rims with a bit more weight but 17in tires with lower side walls less weigth so if the total is same i woudl go with the 17s any time.

I'm probably just going to go 16s. with a 215/50/16 tire. unless theres any objection to that?

Didnt catch it in time to edit...225/50/16 tires....not 215/50..plus i'm going more for looks just to let yall know. I am doing some exhaust work and minor engine upgrades, but nothing overwhelming. SO just bare in mind i'm apealing(sp?) more towards looks.
