The 2.4L is a decent engine. It has a fair amount of mods available for it too.

It's not too hard to build a 200+ HP/TQ NA engine.

2.4L bottom end, 2.3L ported head & cams, 2.3L crank pulley, et cetera.


Even with that said and in it's "detuned" setup in the 96+ J-body it made a respectable 150HP and 155TQ on 87 octane. The cars only weigh around 2525-2650lbs.


The MTX's (any variant) are sloppy and rubbery.
The 4spd ATX is outstanding and you know I'm not a slushbox fan.
