Tried to track it down for quite some time with no luck. Anyone have an idea of what causes it? I almost sounds like it's up high and towards the front of the door confused

Hey I have some clunkly rattle from inside the passenger door too! Cant figure it out. I get a bit of squeak from the door pannel though.

I've got it in both doors, same spot as your describing. frown

It just gets worse by adding speakers with better bass response. I've got some 'Bahn 6.5" mid-bass drivers, and they can make the doors sound like beehives.

I'm planning an entire system tear-down with rewiring and sound deadening this summer. Should hopefully solve this very annoying problem.

It may be the wires running along the metal of the door. Up high and forward would be the wires for the mirrors. What I did was either silicone all the wires or tape them down so that they cannot vibrate against the metal and make noise. Occasional pieces of tape won't work, you have to run the tape along the length of the wire.

Now all my noise (which isn't much anymore) is related to the OE foam liner buzzing against the metal in a few places (mostly on really low notes below 40Hz). Always having to track down a new buzz.

Double check the bezel that holds the window/lock switches...and the mirror mount/defrost panel area. Where that stuff meats the dash piece tends to rub, rattle, and squeak...not necessarily in that order. wink

i have the same problem. i think it's the two metals pieces that the door handle screws into too. i tightend them about a month ago, and it disappeared for awhile....now it's back in full affect. it's quite annoying...

I don't know if it is - but still it may be a good idea - put a self-drilling metal screw in a little vent ducts that goes underneath a-pillars. These ducts aren't very secured in places unless you do it. Make sure not to use a very long screw - and have your windows rolled down while doing it.
