late reply I know, but what I'm hearing is encouraging in that I'm right, but I don't really want to total my car out. I just sent in a 6k check two weeks ago to pay it off. Oh well. The insurance company keeps telling me they're going to fix it, but they haven't told the dealer that and I'm almost positive they haven't checked the fram/uni-body/chassis/whatever.
