I'll agree with you. It's just been my experience that replaced dashes either squeek/rattle, or eventually leak. Both times the windsheild in my moms minivan was replaced, there was a problem. Same in my friend's Cav, and another friend had squeeks in his Bronco only after the replaced dash. Perhaps it's the crap work ethics of people in Y-town...

I don't remember the company, but a buddy of mine got a spider web in his windshield when a truck flung a rock into on the high way. The insurance company ended up sending a company out to his work to replace it on the spot. I watched the whole thing and it didn't take long at all and it came out looking like new. There should be no reason for leaks if the company knows what they are doing....that epoxy they used was wicked looking stuff.

Hey, what is this dash repair kit anyways? My 99 is lifting and the dealer said if I called Ford and COMPLAINED LOUDLY they might pay for the fix... any comments?

Tried non-stop for a week... they did nothing.

Sounds like it ain't worth it...what is the fix though...how do you do it? Guess I'll do a search.
