Zoe,
If you're converting coolant you have to be careful. The Dexcool type does not mix with the standard anti freeze. If your system (including heater core) is fully flushed with water it should be no problem. The Duratec has no engine block drain so it is time consuming to get absolutely all the old coolant out.
