I don't have any direct experience with them, but I haven't really come across a poor product by clarion. The seperate crossover is an encouraging feature.

All of this info has been good, it seems that the general consensus is that infinity rocks house. Dave, I really do respect your opinion, just wondering what you think about infinity speakers as well, eh?

I don't have a problem with any infinity speakers.

Infinity speakers are great.
I currently have 6.5" mids w/ 1" tweeters in front and 6"x8" in rear.
The sound, volume, and staging are great.
I would recommend the "Reference" series.

Image Dynamics produces the only horn drivers that will accurately reproduce the frequency range of 120Hz-15kHz.
(This is the full spectrum of human hearing)
Subbass = 16-32Hz
Bass = 32-128Hz
Midbass = 128-512Hz <--
Midrange = 512-5096Hz
High = 5096-20384Hz

You must only be referring to car audio products when you say they are the only company to produce horns that play from 120-15khz. The limits of human hearing is generally considered 20khz. There are a few non horn drivers that will play from 50-18000 with a single radiating surface (no tweeter) and one that will play from 100-20000hz. I have no problem with the ID horns, but they are not THE best on the market, they are one of the best. One of my problems with them is there wildly varying FR that requires the use of a 1/3 band EQ to flatten to a reasonable level.

I misread your last post about the human hearing thing. I thought you were insinuating that the ID horns played the full spectrum of human hearing.
