If that AMD 2600+ is not unlocked I suggest you cancel the order or send it back. Look for the mobile cpu's.. 2400,2500 and 2600's. I can run my mobile at 10x220 with a vcore of 1.5. My temps average in the 35c range idle and 39c load.
Bartons are unlocked from the factory so you should be ok. Mobile XP's are good overclockers but with less FSB and bigger price of it's non-mobile counterpart. Barton 2500's are hitting huge oc numbers without temp problems so the XP mobiles are not cost effective in my book.
