1st of all, I have stressed before how I hate the satilite on the back of the CSVT for our antenna. I don't want this 6' piece sticking up from the back as I'm enjoying a nice cruise. Some tell me that it only goes up when the radio is on, well not in my case. The jousting stick goes up whenever I have power on to the CD player. (Pioneer 9200) I have been instructed to unplug the antenna from inside the trunk, but there are a couple hookups back there and I don't want to break anything. I already unhooked the thick black cord leading upto where I thought the antenna would be, but it still went up. WHAT DO YOU SAY GUYS?!?!  Thanks for your time

Pioneer HU's raise the antenna whenever the HU is on (CD or radio). Install an in-line switch on the power antenna lead if you feel the need to control it manually.

I installed a small toggle switch (wired in series with the power antenna lead) on the underside of the console just below the HU. It's tucked back a bit so you can't even see it.
I leave it 'on' for normal operation and flip it to 'off' to retract the antenna for extended CD sessions.

Nothing simple like "go in the trunk and unhook a certain wire"? Both those answers were fine, but it's just that I am not very knowledgable w/electronics so I won't be doing any wire work beyond the HU. Thanks guys

goldsmi, can u elaborate a little more on what u did. items used, where to get them. did u simply tap into the antenna wire or the power antenna wire into the hu.
...and yes, I did SEARCH first before asking.

Simple.
Got a small toggle switch from Radio Shack.
Wired it in series with the antenna control wire wire (blue?) from the hu. Drilled a hole for the switch in the top wall of the console which is just below the hu.
With the switch in the 'on' position, normal operation.
Flip the switch to 'off' and the system thinks you turned off the hu and retracts the antenna.

The power antenna extends when there's voltage being sent on the power antenna lead (it has a separate power source to run the motor). If you break the circuit, the antenna retracts. Hence, the switch.

More precisely:
Locate the power antenna control wire.
Route it so that it runs toward the front area of the console under the hu.
Cut the wire.
Strip the two ends.
Obtain a Single-pole/Single-throw (SPST) switch of your choice from Radio Shack.
Mount the switch in the location of your choice in proximity to the stripped wires.
Connect the stripped ends of the antenna control wire to the switch - one wire on each switch terminal - does not matter which one goes where.
Operation will be as previously discussed:
Switch on - normal operation.
Switch off - antenna down.
