Opinions from anyone? How do you guys like the sound of each? I don't want something overly loud, at all. BAT Inc's site says there is something you can put on the tips of the exhaust to make it even quieter. Would that affect the noise in the car? If so, what exactly is "it"?

I've got the Bosal with Sho-Shop Y w/ cat.

I scare small children

It's overly loud. I need to get the silencers put in and see if that tames the beast. It's been on about a year now, and it does look purty with the all that polished stainless steel. Bonus was you can mount it yourself with no welding or clamps involved.

It's really that loud? The website said it wasn't overly loud at all. What about a power increase, anything worth while? Is it bad in the car or just outside of it? As long as it's quiet in the car, I couldn't care less who hears what.

Its pretty bad inside or out, when the pipes are cold good God almighty. Car with alarms in parking garages fear me.

It drones pretty bad too. My GF complains her ears are gonna pop if you don't put in the clutch and take your foot off the gas while slowing down. It does get a lot of attention and overall highway crusiing isn't too bad as long as you keep it below 75mph. I rarely do though as the flow of traffic here (when were not parked) is 80+ and then you get the drone pretty bad.

PM me if ya want to hear it I'm more than happy to give you a live demo on my cell.

Hightower also has one as well as two guys in the NY chapter.

Bolt up was pretty simple but it hags low as I think the hangers are a bit too long. Other than that it installs pretty easily.

If you say it's loud I don't even want to bother with it. What's a quieter catback then? Or are you screwed no matter what if you use a y-pipe?

Borla is by fat the quietest I have heard, even on a SC SVT but the performance gains aren't there. The Bassani is nice as well but defintely louder.

How much is the Borla lacking in the performance aspect? I just realized what I titled this thread. So should I just go for a quiet true dual system? I'm going to go scavenge the dyno area for info.

Not sure, but resident performance guru DEMONSVT has no love for the Borla

Good enough reason for me.
