Rear wheel drives vary a lot. Some rear wheel drives have torque tubes and independent rear suspension that makes them handle better. The solid rear axle rear wheel drive cars handle like a work truck. The fast cars like corvettes have stiff suspensions that make the ride harsh. If you want a good handling car that does not have a harsh ride, the Porshe 928 is a performance touring car with a comfortable ride. The 928 only has 320 horsepower but the ride and handling are good.
