That's exactly what Honda intends. It wouldn't redline so far up the rev range if it didn't serve a purpose.

It may have the same torque as a Zetec, but its so far up in the powerband that it doesnt help when you take off from a traffic light.
These comments are always made from someone who has never actually driven one. Revving to eight grand in a Si or GSR is not the same as revving to a comparable RPM in your Ford. The gearing makes all the difference.
The Hondas/Acuras naturally have shorter gearing to help compensate for the lack of low-end torque and the higher power peak.
Me, I'll keep my torque plateu and show them my tailights

Your right, I have never driven one. Im not saying they are bad cars, just not what I would want to drive everyday.
I actually used to like yours, it wasnt riced out

True, dont forget the flame wars that might happen. I just stated my opinion, and expected lots of feedback, I'm not gunna cry about it though, people will like hondas, acuras, etc. Though, I wont be one, I drove one, and I dont like the chimes either that sound like a door bell... (note, its alittle easier to cut quotes down instead of requoting previous quotes... easier to read )

Originally posted by ContourKev: Ooooh, I will tell why Honda sucks! (and Acura) 1. Hondas dont last long. I see alot of old Ford (mostly old Fords), old GMs, old Dodge's lasting awhile, while a 91 Accord is barily kicking though, and is gaining lots of rust. 2. Alot of people saw "The Fast and the Furious" and decided to pose off them, and buy a Civic, accord, Supra, then try to make it powerful, while it actually isnt, just a stupid muffler that sounds like a fuggin 2cycle snowblower 3. Honda's have fugly ass desgins. I took a picture of Honda Civic, and modern Honda Accord, the end is rather similar, just similar layout... very similar 4. They are stupid, "OH!!!! I got this new spoiler on my Civic EX, its pimpin yo!" or "Lets goto autozone yo, and get some sticker decals that say NOS, flames, and Type R and put it all over my Civic EX" 5. Its too f*ckin common, and it is not unique! THINK OF SOMETHING UNIQUE! "Hmm, those 4 Civic owners had 2 different back rims... im gunna do that!" 6. Most of these modified Hondas rarily see a track... they are loaded though, but the owners are stupid and decide to street race it, get busted, and loose their car that they invested alot of money into, or crash, or just have it there for looks. 7. Its an Import 8. Dull look on interior and exterior Im sure I can come up with more... but im done for now
Now this is the type of Redneck thinking I was talking about. You do realize that a good number of contours were built in MEXICO? And is essentially the same car as the Mondeo sold in EUROPE?
Sorry, but thinking a car sucks JUST because it's foreign (and what car isnt to some degree now) is about as old and useless as racism these days.
And also every reason you listed except #1 is just worthless opinion and not a real "reason" why Honda/Acura suck.
