If your amps are making your headlights flash, I think you may have bigger problems than needing a cap. Maybe a priest and some holy water...

Really, running everything I have, as loud as I could make it go in the shop, my lights weren't dimming at all. Like I said, ADD 1/0 or 4 guage wires for your battery ground, engine/chassis ground, and the alternator cable. Do all three.

I hate seeing people waste thier money. For the cost of that fairly useless alternator, you could buy a new sub. As for putting a cap in line to the amps, you need to charge that cap, which will add a strain to your alternator as well.

Listen to DBZjr, he knows very well what he's talking about. If the lights are still dimming even after adding the wires, buy a small cap to run in line to your headlights. They will hold a small charge which will keep your headlights at full brightness even when the stereo is drawing full power (which pretty much never happens) If after you replace the wires, your lights still dim excessively, go get you alternator tested to see if it's even putting out enough power in the first place.

Just trying to help out here, don't waste your money. Only upgrade your alternator, if your current alternator needs replacing anyways. That's the only way I could see anybody justifying the cost of upgrading it.
