OP hayn_kine New CEG\'er H Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 22 kaneohe,hi (oahu)	Does anyone know if you can upgrade the alternator on a 2.0 zetec motor. I heard it is rated a 130 amps but im not positive. So if anyone knows about our alternators hit me up with some answers. ALOHA

Anyone know where I could get one? 1999 SE White AVH-P6500DVD Infinity Reference 6500CS Pioneer 5x7s Punch 360a2 Punch 500a2 Adire Tempest in a custom sealed 3.4cuft box Modded Xbox Still need Midnight Cloth Headrests... and if somebody has fold down rear seats....

We're talking multi-thousands of watts from your amps. Swap out all your battery cables and alternator cables with 1/0 or 4 guage. That will help you electrical system alot. bluecontour New CEG\'er B Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 43 Westland, Michigan	www.mean-green.com. i went there and bought a alternator for my 96 se and let me tell you it is awesome. i accidently left my interoir lights on all night and the next morning it started up in a jif in the middle of winter. the amps i think are 200 or 180 but around that. also whenever i was at a light my subs would cut cause i had the brakes on but now they wont cut even with the air conditioner on with the headlights on and pressing the brake. the only thing is that my head lights still dim but i dont have any capacitor for my system. i think that is the problme

Just upgrade all your stock cables. The battery ground cables, your alternator to battery cables.. etc.. etc. it'll solve majority of your dimming problems. Another way to prevent dimming is to put the caps on your headlights rather than your stereo system. Remember this is why we're at war!
