I bought it through etronics, which I thought to be legit. It looks legit. The packaging, instructions, build, accessories etc all look like the real thing. I'm not totally unsatisfied with it. It sounds great, the radio reception is decent and there is a wide range of eq settings. The thing with the buttons is more of an annoyance than anything. For example, sometimes when I hit the track advance button, it will go back to the begining of the current track. The cd-r issue is the biggest thing. Theres no reason that a cd player made in 2003 should have issues with cd-r's.
