Well I didn't specificaly check it, and this is why: Like I said before, I checked the RCA's and it wasn't them. I did this by popping out my head unit, running a different set of rca's from my head unit to the amp under my seat. Doing this, my RCA's weren't even near my power wire...hmm....another thing i'd like to point out.....my 4 gueage power wire runs along side the drivers side, and then i split off with 8 gage and ran it over to the passanger seat....maybe something went wrong there????

Could it be originating at your Head unit? Did you install it?? If no or whatever sheck to see that it is gorounded through the harness or directly to the chassis of the car. Sometimes installers will use the antenna as a ground to "Speed thing up". This works but eventually gets bad. IMO and experience. Take a looky there.

While playing a song on your cd, unplug both your right and left rca's from the amplifiers. If you still hear the buzzing then it is coming from your amps if you don't hear it anymore then it is coming from your head unit.

way to simplify it man! I like this approach. also, if you decide that it is coming from your H.U., that will include your patch cables.

well, it only comes through my front speakers, which are amped. The rears are not, and they don't make any ugly noises  As far as the head unit, I didn't have any trouble with it in my other car....and there is no noise when the car isn't runing. The noise I hear in the speakers comes straight from the engine. I can even hear the sound of the fan running...? Where is the headunit grounded?(i installed myself) and if the headunit's ground was bad, wouldn't the back speakers make that noise too?

No not necessarily. If you have a bad ground to your head unit it may not be noticable going from the head unit to the speakers. But if you amplify the signal through your amplifier then it would be more noticable. Unhook your rca's from the amp when you are playing a song first. Its just a matter of process of elimination.

99bad,

Umm, Try and power down the rear amplifier and leave the front one connected. Do you still get the buzz?
