I actually approached AeroCharger WAY before StreetFlight came into the picture. I met with the owner at their shop here in Dallas. We put my car up on the lift to see where things would go. The turbo is very cool, and the oiling system is very nice. You can put the turbo anywhere down low. It didn't take off because the place that made their impellors went under and they where trying to find someone else. In the meantime, I was introduced to StreetFlight: Bam, Contour turbo kit is born.

Remember those days, Drebes?

Yeah the aerocharger was a way-cool turbo! I would imagine that future turbo technology will borrow from what they did.

Well Chris, did you take a gander at the new turbo results I posted?

Yes, I see everything. That's a few more than 400HP to the crank. I believe 323HP was the magic number through the MTX-75.

I need to drive down there some day and hang out with you and the car. I already drove Keyser's.

The Focus Aerocharger makes between 200-220whp and a round 220-240wtq. Basically the turbo they used is small and is flow limited to 10psi. It was designed to flow around 12psi at 3000rpms so the TQ down low was higher then to slow to 10psi by the redline. If you try to flow more than 10psi, by the time it hits the upper rpms the vanes will over spin and start rubbing inside the housing and ruin the turbo.

Granted 200whp isn't much, but in a 2500lb Focus it's pretty quick. Also at just over $3k, it was the cheapest kit on the market. It's too bad they don't make turbo's anymore.
