Not at all. He has a 2 channel amp. If he leaves it in stereo mode and connects the left output to one VC and the right output to the other VC, it will just mechanically sum the output of the two channels. Or you could wire the VCs in series and bridge the amp. Either way, each VC sees the same amount of power.
