I purchased a new oil pan from Grimes MotorSport back in mid Feb. I have sent numerous emails and have heard nothing from him. I've already contacted Paypal for a refund since I have NO communication at all. Has anyone had this type of experience with him?

Thanks,
Bob

You're not the first person. He basically showed up to hijack a thread where a NECO guy was selling DMDs and started undercutting him, but many people supposedly had problems. He hasn't posted here since December.

Update on Grimes MotorSports that is listed on this site as a parts source.

So far this guy has not communicated at all!!! PayPal chargeback is in process. I will get my money back provided he has money in his PayPal account. Somehow I suspect that is empty. So at this point it looks like I have been cheated out of $90.00

Lance, I recommend you pull his listing as a Contour parts source so others do not get taken such as I have.

I know this has been brought up before but:

Is it possible for Lance to maybe make a forum for parts sellers where you could have a pinned thread for each parts seller that's listed on CEG with a vote or something in it. That way people can basically rate each vendor and let others know how their dealings went with each vendor? That might help people choose who they want to buy from easier and avoid some ripoffs. Just an idea...Lance if you're out there what do ya think>

And why would you order a new oil pan from anyone other than Bill Jenkins or another Ford wholesaler? Like it's going to be cheaper and more reputable somewhere else?

I figured since this ole boy is listed here under mod/parts section, I figured he was a good ole boy that is trying to make a few bucks selling the few parts he has....I try to spread the wealth around for all....unlike certain damn Republicans.

If it was a credit card transaction dispute it through your card, send in Pay Pal's letter saying the seller was at fault. The credit card will refund your money (ie charge back to pay pal) and it will then be up to pay pal to get there money back from the seller.

This is why you NEVER use your checking account for paypal - if you do it's the same as sending cash

Well, it was my Bank Visa check card. Looks like Visa but transactions come directly out of my bank account. Don't know if I am protected the same way.
