I'm hearing a rather quiet knocking noise comming from the front right portion of my car when I hit bumps/pot holes. I don't know if this might be a shock, or maybe a spring but it is really getting on my nerves because it's all I listen for now when I'm driving? Any past experiences with similar problems, or noises?? Any help is good help right now!!! Thanks

Yeah I got the same exact problem. It sounds like something is cracking. The technician at NTB told me thats its not hard to replace.

Going over bumps & such?
If you've never replaced the front sway bar end links that could be them. When they go they make a quick knocking sound that seems worse over smaller bumps & such. They seem to fail a lot. You'd never know they were bad, they don't tear or anything. They just go bad. O'Reilly sells them (cheap) and they install pretty easily. Just need two adjustable wrenches. If you're not too sure on how to do it, any shop can put it on and they'd better not charge much since it's easy

Mine makes this knocking/creaking sound also, especially when going over speed bumps or going over the curb into my driveway. It sounds like something is loose.
I replaced the end links last year and this had no effect on the problem. I inspected the sway bar links and they looked OK. Also at this time I replaced the axle assemblies and the control arm bushings were tight.
I suspect it may be the struts. The car has 107K and I guess its about time to change them.

PS - this post belongs under the suspensions threads.
