Recently, my last cupholder broke (I used to have the double). So, I was forced to buy the single cupholder from Bill Jenkins. Best purchase ever!
Only I have a question about it. When it comes up, and you fold the cupholder over, how far is it supposed to come out? Mine only pops up about 2 inches.
My old double cupholder came up at least 3-4 inches.
I just want to know if this is correct? Or did I install it wrong?
Any information would be greatly appreciated!

My sister has the single cupholder in her 96 Mystique, and from what I remember, it doesn't go as high as the double cup holders. Hope this helps.

My car has the double cup holders that are too freakin' shallow to keep a beverage upright. Oh well. I only allow bottled water in my car anyway.....no coffee, no Hawaiian Punch, no Green Apple Pucker....you get the picture.

I have the double in my contour, and the single in my mystique. I haven't measured them, but it seems to me that both come up about the same height. Maybe not, but I hadn't noticed a difference.
And with this post I am now a hardcore CEG'er. Look out, Kremit, I'm a gonna catch you...

Has anyone with the double in the contour noticed that the one closest to the drivers seat is deeper? Am I the only one who thinks this? lol.

You installed it correctly...I would guess you're not pulling it up far enough. There is a "notch" that it pops into when all the way up. At least on mine.

I think mine only comes up about that much too. it only come a little less than half way up on a soda can. anything taller or top heavy, watch out on those quick right hand turns...
