Nah, you're right, I just need to bite down and grit it... It's just that I don't have a shop (or much of a garage for that matter) so I have to rely on someone else to drop the tranny, take it apart, keep the insides somewhere while I haul the casing away to be welded, then bring it back and get it reassembled, and I may as well have it overhauled at that time, right?
I don't suppose they can weld it while it's still attached to the car...
