I have heard this a couple times before on other vehicles. If you have drum brakes (since I'm not sure on your car), then it is quite possibly the pads in the rear flopping around due to a broken spring or retainer pin. When you back up the pads move inside the drum. Again, I am posting this cause I don't know if you have drums or discs in the rear.
