Driving my contour for the first time in awhile today, And when I approached a stop sign, the engine sounded very weak, (Guessing around 400-500 RPM - I dont have a tach) this is only when the engine is warm. When the engine is cold, runs perfect. Recently changed MAF (think that was a waste of money... ) Checked timing recently, think its better though... before I hadta give my car some gas to start it, now I dont. Sounds like a low RPM rate when engine is in P, but alright. Any suggestions?

IAC maybe?
My Duratech w/ATX sometimes will drop down to 500 rpms when she's warm. From what I hear most idle probs are IAC related but that didn't solve mine. I'm going to change my PCV valve and see if that helps (I saw some oil spray on my air filter so I know its bad). I'll try to find this thread again and let you know. Good luck!
Oh...and if your air filter is clogged that might do it too.

do you have any trouble codes possibly an o2 sensor since the o2 sensor only operates when the engine is up to temp
