Alright guys its been a while but I have now gotten father to say find an engine and stuff cuz its pointless to have the car sit around and might as well get a lil out of her instead of just getting rid. He has also said that if I want an SVT can go under the hold so I need to know if anyone has any ideas on where there may be an engine?? John I know you have some hook-ups, lol, and oh I was browsing around and what have I been missing with brownies... are you guys playing with that special chocolate, lol?

Good luck with all that (trying to find a "G" 2.5 Duratec aka SVT) - with so many going south, and less than 10,000 ever hitting the road in the first place, if you do find one it'll be $$$$$$. Heck, it might be cheaper (parts-wise) to try to find a low mileage "S" Duratec (3.0L), and certainly cheaper to find an "L" Duratec (2.5L non-SVT). Besides, the block doesn't have anything special besides the domed pistons (bumps the compression) and supposedly "hand picked" cranks. If your only problem is bottom end, and you can use all the goodies you put up top on the old engine, there is no need to find an SVT block, especially for what they cost.

Yeah, start scouring around for some 3.0L blocks - just do a straight swap! http://www.car-parts.com I'm sure some other people can offer some more info...

I just put in the third 2.5L, and trust me, you can't find an SVT engine for anywhere near the price of a standard. I paid $600 for the first replacement with 42k- bad idea, went after another 10k. I just paid $800 for a '98 with 52k, and a 1yr unlimited mile warranty.

I should have some hi-res copies of those shots Travis, if I can dig out the backup disks and find them. Want me to look? (It'll give me a reason to play with the old ZIP drive on my new PC.)
