Hmm, now I'm wondering about getting 1 12" adire brahma and running the 1200 watt jbl amp too it. about $700. How would this compare to getting two Lambda 12's and running 300 watts to each of them? (If that amp you stated was a 600.1 then would it be possible to run it to two subs?)

Since SQ seems to your primary goal, i'll break some options down using an optimized sealed enclosure for each option.

Speaker..Brahma........2 PB12s........Brahma
Power....1200w.........600w...........2400w
20hz......98.6 dB.......99.3 dB.......101.6 dB
30hz.....105.6 dB......106.4 dB.......108.3 dB
40hz.....110.1 dB......111.2 dB.......113.1 dB
50 hz....112.8 dB......114.4 dB.......115.8 dB
max spl..115.4 dB......119.1 dB.......118.4 dB

Just a graph so you compare output at different freq. If you were to go with an SPL system, htere is no doubt that the Adire is the better sub. The Lambda's are the cheapest and have more output than the Brahma in the above scenario. If you can add more power, the Brahma starts to come into it's own as probably the best sub on the market.

Ok so I have decided to get two PB 12's (with the DVC option), I don't know much at all about enclosures or different boxes so what else do I need to get? Should I get one of the $60 Passive Radiators that stryke suggests (I don't even know what a passive radiator is)? Basically I want to get everything I need so when I take it to be installed, they won't just tell me I still need to go buy more stuff. Thanks.

I don't think you will have any use for the DVC option. So save yourself the 60.00. The passive radiator is basically an alternative to a port. Since you are going with a sealed enclosure, it isn't necessary.

You will need a 1.5-2.0 cubic ft sealed box. That is for both (.75-1.00 cu ft per woofer). Are you going to build your own or buy a premade enclosure?

I don't know anything about building my own  So I was planning on buying a premade one. I won't get the DVC since you say it isn't necessary, but the JBL 600.1 is a mono amp...know of any 300x2 RMS at 4ohms 2 channel amps??

You'll want to use that mono amp with a pair of 4ohm subs. You wire them in parallel for a 2ohm load and maximum power output from the amp.

I would get the JBL BP600.1.

It produces 600w into a 2 ohm mono load. To get a 2ohm mono load, get 2 PB12s with a 4 ohm VCs and wire them in parallel. I can make a diagram if you want me to.

Ok so for that JBL amp and the two PB12's, will cost close to $540. Do I need a capacitor too? How much will box and installation cost? Looking for a total for everything here. Thanks.

No cap needed. There is rarely ever a situation where one is needed. If lights dim, upgrade the factory ground wire from the battery to heavier guage wire. It will solve most issues.

I'll check on the box.
