Out of the two choices, I think the Eclipse Ti is the better product. If you are going for a SQ woofer, don't use the diameter as a reference for SQ. Smaller subs aren't tighter than large subs.

Whoever said that aluminum subs are lighter than titanium has a couple of flaws in their argument. Titanium is lighter and stronger than aluminum. But this doesn't really matter because a heavy cone doesn't necessarily make the sub "lag". An overly heavy cone combined with a weak motor can have negative effects, but that is a rare circumstance.

Now, If you are looking for the best subs available for SQ, I would look no where else than the Lambda subs. If you are running a thousand watt system or more, than the HE 15 from www.stryke.com would be at the top of my list. Actually, for 375.00 a woofer you could get an Adire Brahma from www.adireaudio.com that can rival the best subs for both SQ and SPL and would be clearly better than either the RF or Eclipse.

Ok, call me gullable, but I'm taking your words for it. I just need to know what amp to get (I do like the RF amps) and how powerful of an amp to get (should I get a Lambda one?). I'm also wondering if I should get the optional bucking magnet to shield (+$20) and 2ohm DVC (+$30)?

Skip the shielding, and only get the DVC if you need it. I think what you would be looking for is a single 4 ohm VC. A good quality 600 watt amp would be all that is needed. If it were me, I would be looking at the 12" version. It goes a bit deeper than the 10 and the box isn't huge. If you can sacrifice the space, I would even consider the PB15 like Honkeytonk has.

BTW, from the original post, it looked like you were looking at huge excursion, very high powered subs. If that is what you are still looking for, the Lambda might not be the right choice. Choose the Lambda if you want a speaker designed to be the most accurate sub on the market.

I am looking for quality and loudness, but quality is more important (SQ I mean). How would it be if I got two Lambda 12's? And what exactly are those Adire Brahma subs? Are they better than the Lambda ones? The reason I was saying if cost didn't matter is because I wanted to know what was the best, plus I have found the RF Power HX2's for $210 and the Eclipse Titanium's (these are all 10" sizes) for $300. It says the rms peak is 500 watts and the peak power is 1000, so you're sure a 600 watt amp wouldn't damage it? I just want to be careful with it. Thanks for all the input.

If you want exceptional SQ plus the ability to handle 1600w RMS 4800 peak, the Adire Audio Brahma would be the sub for you.

The 10" is 339.00 in the preorder.

One more option is to just get 1 15" Brahma and get some sort of mega watt Class D amp like a Directed 1100, JBL BP1200.1, or Earthquake PHD2 shredder.

About the Lambda,

The PB12 works very well in a 1 cubic foot box. I wouldn't send any more than 300w per sub, so the 600w amp mentioned earlier would be a good choice. It can handle more power, but 300 per sub gets the job done, so I wouldn't risk sending more. It has some limits when it comes to SPL but I would suspect that mid 130s wouldn't be the least bit out of line in a sealed box. In a ported box, high 130s shoudl be possible while still retaining great SQ.

So two PB12's with 300 watts to each would be good? Could I run 400 watts to each without risk of damaging them? I don't know of any 600 watt amps is all, could you reccommend any?

JBL BP600.1 is one off the top of my head.
