You would not want to delay the rear speakers, actually you want to delay the front (depending how your seat is posistion the left rear speaker could be the closest to your ear).
The idea is to have the sound reach you at the same time from every angle. Using a Alpine H600 this is fun (and agonizing) to work with. The front left speaker would be delayed since it is the closest to your ear (normal seating position). It also depends on how you want the soundstage to appear, do you want it in the dead middle of the dash (like IASCA) or do you want it right in front of you?
In all I am positive you wont hear a difference in a car if the speaker wires are different lengths. Just make sure you use good stuff and you'll be just fine
