I've not seen the movie myself yet, but very much want to. There are, however, many things I feel compelled to comment on in this thread:

anyone else watch the Jesus movie yesterday? i saw it and it really did what mel gibson wanted it to do and that's get across the amount of suffering He went through.
I doubt if that's really possible. I was recently thinking about this. The amount of suffering that Jesus had to experience. Think about it. Think of all the evil that you, personally, have done in your lifetime, and will yet do before your life is over. Think of all the evil that has been done to you, and will yet be done to you. Multiply that by all the billions of people who have lived, and will yet live. That's the price that Jesus had to pay. Is there anyone among us who has the capacity to comprehend the amount of evil and sin for which Jesus had to pay the price, or the amount of suffering that it would take to pay this price? I very much doubt it.

Some people are so eager to cry anti-semitism that they would call a goyim eating a bagel in public a Nazi.
It is a simple, unalterable fact that the Jews of Jesus' time ?? at least the leaders thereof ?? were the villains in this story. It is they who plotted against Jesus, who manipulated the law in order to bring false charges against him, and who conspired to have him tortured and murdered.
If it is anti-semitic to depict this simple truth, then there is no way to tell this story without being anti-semitic. Without having seen the movie, I would say that if the movie is anti-semitic, then the Bible itself is anti-semitic.

And lastly, in the movie Pilot (sic) is coerced by the jewish leadership into crucifying christ against his better judgement. Apparently, no theologians, biblical scholars, or the Pope believe this to be true.
It's right there in Matthew 27:15??24 What ??theologians, biblical scholars, or Pope? are there that you claim do not believe this?

When jesus is on the cross a jew in the crowd says "let his blood be on us and on our children" or something to that effect.
As is recorded in Matthew 27:25.
