oh man this post gave me flashbacks to feb when i picked up my car after the atx repair....big long scratch on top inside of drivers door and another ugly one on the passenger door....engine grime on the grey interior drivers door handle floor and seat, the cap that covers the nut on the wiper arm is missing as well as the cap on the right edge of the black cover between the windshield and hood...the cover is also chipped at that same right edge

i tried to be nice but the service was defensive and became a jackass pretty quick....ford dealers are numerous but both my locations are fairly remote and this was the closest dealer to me ...needless to say i will pretty much never go back there and if i do im gonna punch the service faig in the mouth laugh

oh wait we weren't talking about me huh....i say go with your insurance co long as it wont cost u anything now or later...stick it to them....ford really seems not to care about they're reputation with customers

95 contour se...dark blue...monsterflow air filter...remanuf atx...wiring harness recall or bust!!!96k miles...motorcraft awsf32pp plugs & red ford racing 9mm wires...kvr black plated cross-drilled rotors & carbon fiber pads...currently undergoing renovation...excuse our dust!!!
are my dodgers for real????

I'm afraid going with your insurance company will always cost you somewhere down the road.

My wife just got her Explorer back from the dealer doing warranty work and I noticed a 4 inch gouge in the back fender. mad

The last time it was at the dealer (a different dealer in Houston I will never go back to) they got some white paint or something all over the front passenger seat and punched a hole in the leather.

What is the problem with these dealers? confused

This post makes me mad. My car STILL has scratches on it from Crystal Ford MD. I got them to buff out the other paint scrapes they got on it but they said "since there was a discrepency of when the damage occured" (there was no discrepency, they just won't admit fault and I can't prove fault cause I have no before pictures) they won't repair the scratches in the paint. But when I picked my car up from them buffing out the paint scrapes, there was a 6 inch gouge in the front bumper right in front of the tire. mad I HATE that place!! Needless to say, I'm never going back and I bash their name whenever I get a chance (like now!) I've sent a letter to Ford, but I don't expect them to care about a customer with a car they no longer produce.

well I decided to do it through insurance, the reason is that here in canada you have no choice between insurance companys, they are government run. The benefit is that in a case like this it does actually cost me nothing, so that's why I chose this.

The steps I will be taking are to, write a letter to the manager telling him matter of fact what happened, and asking for some kind of an apology. Then discouraging everybody that I know to go there. By the way for anybody that happens to be in winnipeg (only a few I beleive) it was Keystone Ford on regent.

And to think that I was thinking about buying a new car there, boy am I glad that I didn't do that. Now I have to find a different Ford dealer to deal with

Thank you though to everybody that posted here and your opinions, you helped me make my decision as to what to do with this situation, and I'll keep you posted as this thing goes through.
