I won't claim to be an audiophile, but yes, I can tell a slight difference between 128 and 192 in the high-end frequencies. Cymbal crashes sound muffled and a lot of subtle nuiances (e.g. distorted electric guitar) seem to be distorted. Admittedly I usually have to be wearing headphones to notice this, though.
