If you have a good coat of wax on the car and the rain only produced light spotting, I agree with using a spray detailer and a cotton cloth. I use good towels myself.
Note: Never use fabric softener on any car rag, it reduces the ability of the fibers to absorb liquid.
I've tried the microfiber rags... I'll save the fiber for my shirts and furniture upholstery.
