One advantage of living in the DC area is getting to see these guys lecture at the Air & Space Museum. I've seen both, and Scotty (that's what he wants to be called) is far cooler and more approachable, in my opinion at least. When I asked him to autograph my copy of "Always Another Dawn," which he wrote in the 1950's, his response was "What did you think of the book?" Like he was worried. A modest, kind man. He lives a couple miles from my house. I keep hoping to bump into him in the Safeway, but no luck so far....
