What "grease" was it?
If you get fluids on the pads even new ones they are junk then. They are only suppoused to get water on them and thats about it.
Did you spray "Brake quiet" on the side that touchs the caliper, if not you can do that while you lubrciate the caliper sldie pins which should be done anyways.
With them sticking, you mean they are sticking to the rotor and when she drives and it smokes. Cause could be bad caliper, pistons in the caliper not returning.
