I used the "poor mans" subframe and powertrain alignment tools.
Since there is just a circle in the sub frame that lines up with a circle on the car, I grabbed one of my 1/2" drive deep well sockets (17mm?) and it fit perfectly in the hole. If it goes straight in you're good, if you hit the lip on the car push the subframe one way or the other.
For the powertrain alignment - since my front mount is filled with urethane and doesnt move at all I hooked that one up and then just tweaked my tranny mount (ie jack under tranny, loosen mount, tug motor untill things line up good)to get it perfectly centered.
Cheap and decently effective - and way better than what the last shop did when they put in my clutch: bolt it up and send it out.
