Don't get overly worried about finding those pins. They were not necessary in my case....
When I had my subframe dropped and reinforced, pins were NOT used on the re-install. We put the car on the alignment rack afterwards and found only very small corrections were needed, to the extent that I could have gotten away without a realignment at all.
