Anybody know where I can get a Sub Frame Alignment Pin Set?
Listed in the Ford Workshop Manual No. T94P-2100-AH, as a Ford "Special Tool"
Any other sources for this set, like NAPA?

Thanks in advance.

I'd check ebay, call bill (ford parts dealer out in cali), or check with a snap-on dealer (just talk to one of the guys driving around in the trucks).

OTC

That part number is the old Rotunda number.

OTC can cross it to their new number.

I purchased my subframe alignment pins in 2002 from Automotive Tools and Supplies Ltd in the UK Automotive Tools and Supplies. The cost was 28.70 pounds or about $46 with another $16.80 for shipping from UK to Virginia, US (About $63 total). Shipping took several weeks.

Unfortunately, I searched their catalog before posting this and could not find the pins listed...Perhaps they are discontinued (you could ask them via email). When I get time I will look up the part number and post it here.

In 2002 I could not find a US based tool supplier offering these pins (and I certainly looked!) so I ended up ordering from overseas.

I don't know if you really need these to re-install subframes - I am just a stubborn SOB when it comes to doing auto repairs by the book. It does seem to me that it is so much work to do this type of job that it was worth the money to assure they are "factory" aligned.

You could also just spray paint around the mounting points before removal (or otherwise mark them) and use the spray pattern to ensure you have returned alignment during installation. Would work assuming alignment was OK to start with.

Don't get overly worried about finding those pins. They were not necessary in my case....

When I had my subframe dropped and reinforced, pins were NOT used on the re-install. We put the car on the alignment rack afterwards and found only very small corrections were needed, to the extent that I could have gotten away without a realignment at all.

Thanks for all the info guys.

Does sound like it may not be worth getting these if reinstall can be done by marking the original position. At any point, any realignment would only involve toe, since I believe this is the only adjustment for the rear. Please correct me if I'm wrong on this.

At any point, I'm due for a 4 wheel alignment so might as well get it done after this proceedure.

I bought the same tools from the same place about two years ago- they're very well made. Found my front subframe was out (on a two year old vehicle that had only done around 10000km)

Unfortunately the website no longer seems to list the tools online?
