infinity kappas are s**t and so are sony xplods! kappas are now a K's Merchandise only brand and i've never seen a sony xplod anything not fry or blow. you can get an Audiobahn 12" sub that handles 700w rms for 120 bucks at www.carstereoworld.com. just consider it. they always have buy one get one free deals on quality stuff and they sell everything cheaper than i've ever seen. alot of their stuff they have to list the list price because of being a certified dealer. just email them to find the actual price of the subs. thats what i did and couldn't beleive how cheap they are for competition stuff!

Silver bullit,
How did those Kickers toast on you?
They are very durable woofers.
What were they crossed over at and what type of enclosure were they displaced into?
Btw, the Sony X-PLOD subs are truly considered one of the best bang for the buck woofers, especially at 300w rms and 900 watts peak.
Save a few more dollars and that will open the gate for a larger variety of subs.
Most importantly, are you into spl or sq?(sound quality)

I checked out carstereoworld.com and their prices are not even close to being the cheapest around. They have a pair of mb quart rsb 215's that i just happen to buy listed at like 450.00 "buy one get one free" at that price your pretty much paying for two pairs anyway. Nice scam, lol

Well I didn't blow them my wife actually did, she jacked the sub gain up and then there was a loud pop and now everytime the sub hits it sounds and looks like it is about to jump out of the box. I had them in a sealed enclosure and I just hooked up my alpine mrv1507 amp to them. I mostly run sound quality but I have the amp set so when I get some serious speakers I can drop the amp to a 1ohm load and run spl. I really think I am going to buy a kicker comp vr12" for now and when I get some more money buy another I have had good run with my old 8" kicker and I don't think the sony will hold the power I want to put to them. laugh

maybe that wasn't a good deal but audiobahn is some of the best stuff you can get and that is very reasonable, you just have to call or email to find the correct price. i go for suond quality and sp, i like loud but don't want to give up the quality.

Carstereoworld's prices for 'Bahn stuff is pretty high too. It's cheapest source on the net is www.competitionsound.com.

BTW, 'Bahn is definately NOT the best you can get. It's decent quality stuff with great looks and a low pricetag. It's one of the best in terms of bang for the buck.

Don't get me wrong, not bashing them. I've got a fair amount of their equipment installed in my car and truck. They were a good compromise between my wallet and my ears.
