I'm just going to have them do it then. Sounds good for $40.

I had my resonator removed, replaced with straight pipe. Sounded awesome at idle, rev it and people would move outta the way. But, driving up hills & such it would drone like mad. A constant deep bass drone that got to be too much.
So I contacted Stazi the Auzie (CEG'r) and he set me up with a magnflow resonator. Sounds great, you can hear it on the highway. The idle is much quieter but still deeper than stock.
I've never heard a glass pack in the resonator spot. Is it a staight tube, only slightly larger than what was cut out??
About the rattle Aioutour, Buzzes at high RPM's in neutral? Or does it do it at highway speeds? Is it a loose clanging rattle??

Makes a nice difference in MPG, and throttle response, but dont expect any difference in sound. I can only hear it if I put my ear by the rear bumper.

I paid $15 for my glasspack and $25 to have the resonator taken out and the glasspack welded in. I drove it like that over about 2 years I believe with no problems whatsoever. Now I have the stock exhaust just sitting in my garage.

auiotour, any way that you can get a sound clip? i've thought about puttin a glasspack in the res but didnt want to be too loud. gf's parents might not like it too much. lol or if anyone else with a 99 se has a glass pack, that'd be really cool.

I tried doing a clip yesterday, but my microphone on my web came sucks ass, I took my laptop down and couldn't get a decent recording, tried for like 20 minutes. Mine still has a rattle to it at high rpms, I am gonna take it back this week and make them fix it. Might just be securing my muffler better as it shakes quite a bit. The noise level on a scale of 1-10, 1 being our current level 10 being anonying 3 inch diameter honda muffler, i would say its like a 3 or 4. Its not that bad, when I rev my engine in our driveway my parents can't hear it inside the house.
