Here's a thought: If you had an alarm that was 100% foolproof, not even you could get past it. I'm no expert either, but I do believe the install is just as important as the alarm you choose. You may not know that yet, but you still have a few classes to take, right? If I might ask, what alarm do you have/plan on having? Looks like TonyD proved you wrong, maybe you were reading an old brochure? I don't mean to jump on your ****, but don't go around talking about what people have before you know exactly what they have. Also, I think TonyD was just posting the specs on the alarm, he wasn't trying to impress you. Anyways, I have a Sidewinder 6500ESP Alarm/Remote Start w/battery back up siren, hood pin, glass breakage sensor, and a mercury tilt switch in the trunk. Let me know what your present installer thinks of it. I happen to be very pleased with it for the $399 I paid for it(expertly installed, of course).
